Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Geesly collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our dating application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the app, and information from third parties.
A. Information You Provide
- Account Credentials: Phone number, email address, and login credentials
- Profile Information: Name, public ID, age, date of birth, gender, photos, bio, prompts, interests, personality traits, and languages spoken
- Demographics & Lifestyle: Job title, company, school, height, education, relationship intent, lifestyle choices (smoking, drinking), religious beliefs, and political views
- User Content: Messages, photos, and videos you send to other users
B. Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage Data: Activity within the app (likes, passes, matches), login times, and features used
- Device Information: Device model, operating system, IP address, device identifiers, and mobile network information
- Location Data: Geolocation (latitude/longitude) to suggest nearby matches. You can revoke this permission in device settings, though it will limit visibility
C. Information from Third Parties
- Purchase Details: If you make a purchase, we receive confirmation from RevenueCat and the app stores (Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not store your payment information directly
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service: Create your account, display your profile, and facilitate messaging
- Matchmaking: Show you profiles based on your preferences, location, and activity
- Transactions: Process subscriptions and purchases via app stores
- Safety & Moderation: Rely on user reports to detect fraud, spam, and harassment, and enforce our Terms of Service
- Communications: Send notifications about matches, messages, and account activity
- Analytics: Track usage trends via Firebase Analytics to fix bugs and improve the app
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:
- With Other Users: Your public profile data is visible to other users for dating purposes
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third parties including Google Firebase (cloud hosting and database), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Gmail/Nodemailer (for sending report emails to geeslyhelp@gmail.com)
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or subpoena
- Safety: We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to protect the safety of any person
- Business Transfers: If Geesly is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred
4. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have specific rights:
- Access & Portability: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Update your profile via app settings
- Deletion: Request account deletion by contacting geeslyhelp@gmail.com. Your data will be removed from our active systems, subject to our retention policy
- Device Permissions: Revoke permissions for Location, Notifications, or Photos through device settings
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information as follows:
- Active Accounts: Data is kept while your account is open
- Deleted Accounts: Upon account deletion, most data is removed immediately. Some data is retained for safety and legal purposes as detailed below
- Notifications: Automatically deleted after 7 days
- Chat Invitations: Automatically deleted after 7 days
- User Matches/Likes: Reset monthly (on the 1st of each month), except for active chats, blocked users, and pending invitations
- Payment Records: Retained as required by app stores and tax regulations
6. Security
We use Firebase's industry-standard security measures, including:
- TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
- Secure cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase with App Check)
- Rate limiting in Cloud Functions to prevent abuse
However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
7. Children's Privacy
Geesly is strictly for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Age is collected through self-reported date of birth during registration and is NOT independently verified. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately ban the account and delete the associated data.
8. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred across borders. We rely on Firebase's security measures to ensure your data is treated securely.
9. Third-Party Services
Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
10. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our Service. This service may collect information about your use of the Service and other apps, including your IP address, device ID, and usage patterns. We do not use Google Analytics.
11. Email and Push Notifications
We may send you:
- Service-related emails via Gmail/Nodemailer about account activity
- Push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging about matches, messages, and account activity
You can manage notification and alert preferences in your app settings. You cannot opt out of certain administrative messages (e.g., password resets, security alerts).
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:

- Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information

We may access messages only for: safety investigations, legal compliance, or spam detection based on user reports.

24. Data Breach Notification
